This Southern Belle can’t wait for Winter to be OVER
It feels like hell has frozen over in Texas, and your lovely Ginger Goddess has felt ready to snap as thermostats plunged to depths I didn’t think were possible in my neck of the woods. I’ve been bundled up in some of my favorite hosiery, dressing gowns, and 3 layers of chenille blankets. When I’m not out taking my dogs for a run through the woods, I’ve been basking by the fireplace while watching snow, sleet, and ice rage outside. It’s been lovely roasting smores over the fire while Tamsyn & Aubrey keep me stocked in hot chocolate, and all 3 of us have giggled watching Charles struggle to keep the screened in pool deck from turning into an oversized igloo.
At long last, the artic blast seems to be ebbing
~And I’m emerging from my toasty chenille cocoon to check in on my subbies.
How did you fare during the practically nationwide deep freeze?
Are you and your loved ones safe? Did you keep your pipes from freezing & your car from sliding? Are your family jewels thawing out, or still in cold storage? What have you been doing to keep warm during this frosty, frozen, and nearly unbearably cold couple of weeks?
February is coming up fast
The Superbowl, Valentine’s Day, and eventually Spring await! I’d love to hear all about your plans & add a little extra spice to those cold winter nights as we count the days until Mother Nature stops giving us the cold shoulder and starts warming things up.
