This post is dedicated to Allen, who made this sweet sugar fest possible
A Very Merry Munchies Quest in the Magic Kingdom
Your globe trotting Mistress ADORES travelling, but I also love to eat. I’m a bit of a foodie, and James jokes that I must have a hollow leg–because not only do I love food, I can really pack it away. I’ve done quite a few food challenges for the fun and free food, and when a certain subbie of mine with a feeder fetish found out I’d be sailing out of FL for my Thanksgiving week cruise, he begged me to swing by Orlando for a very special early Christmas gift: Admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Which is how your Goddess wound up outside Magic Kingdom’s Will Call Window
I was able to pick up my ticket, get my wristband & party map, and then the hunt began. You see, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party isn’t JUST an after hours exclusive event wrapped in festive decorations–it’s a sugar-filled scavenger hunt of epic proportions. The party includes hot chocolate, apple cider, eggnog, and various kinds of cookies stashed at locations around the park; and there’s holiday themed treats & eats above and beyond the included party fare scattered among the different restaurants. Allen wanted me to try a little of everything.
Let the hunt begin!
- 1st off: sugar cookies and apple cider, in Tomorrowland at Auntie Gravity’s, very close to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
- 2nd: caramel+pretzel chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate located across from the Haunted Mansion
- 3rd: gingerbread cookies & eggnog at Gaston’s place, past Be Our Guest and Belle’s House
- 4th: Red Velvet Cookies and Apple Cider across from Pirates of the Caribbean
I also had a holiday Mickey Marshmallow (mickey shaped marshmallow covered in a white chocolate fudge shell with red & green striped icing), and Holiday Dinner Loaded Fries (french fries covered in gravy, shaved turkey, crispy onion strings, and cranberry sauce). Did I mention you can swing by for more of the included cookies and drinks as often as you want as long as the party’s going?
Needless to say, Your Goddess had one heck of a sugar rush
So, in-between enjoying the holiday themed overlays on various rides and the Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor, the special parades, stage show, and fireworks, this sweet-toothed siren was loading up on lovely cookies. Soooo many cookies. Sugar gives me a delightful buzz, and the cookies were delicious! I know I ate over a dozen, but truthfully I stopped counting after my 4th go round Pirates of the Caribbean. All I can tell you is James found me belting out “Poor Unfortunate Souls” while hugging a lamppost near the Seven Seas Lagoon just after midnight.
In true Disney Prince style, my darling hubby whisked me away to our waiting carriage (Lyft), and back to our hotel. Cinderella’s curfew notwithstanding, we had an amazing night! Thank you Allen, for the gift of a truly enchanted evening.
PS: If you want to gift me a fabulous foodie (or travel) adventure, just let me know, and I’ll see if it’s possible to bring that fantasy to life!
